Sometimes you just strike it lucky. Whilst the rain tipped down in southern England, our caravan break in New England Bay on the Mull of Galloway was quite literally cloudless for four days. Sun cream, shorts, BBQs and sea swimming. We can’t believe our luck.
Here’s a quick comic-strip / photo story
Pitched on a raised beach in New England Bay Caravan Club site – gorgeous setting, so peaceful and sheltered nicely
First evening and a wander to the beach on the caravan site
Met up with Jason and Debbi Miles and family, local cycling friends, who’d coincidentally booked the same site. Lovely to meet the children too.
Built a fire and toasted marshmallows on the beach
Lovely wander on quiet lanes over to Port Logan
Port Logan – had a brief play in the bay
Miserable crab, sick of Port Logan.
Wetsuits needed in Scotland! Thanks to Phil, Anne & family for lending them.
Fantastic, dramatic lighthouse and fog horn on the most southerly point of Scotland
Fab trip to Logan Botanic Garden – highly recommended
Sculpture in Logan Botanic Garden
